All bids must have an actual price good date and be itemized to be considered a valid quote. Any bids received without the requested information will be voided. All bids must be received by 4:30 p.m. on the due date.
Please be advised that all bid submissions must be submitted exclusively through the Housing Bid Board unless otherwise noted for Request for Proposals (Sealed Bids). Any bids submitted via email, mail, or other means will not be accepted or considered.
Special Instructions
Home is a 3-bed, 2-bath pier-and-beam frame home approx—900 sq. ft. All prospective contractors are required to visit the project site before submitting a bid. Change orders due to conditions that could have been identified during the site visit will not be considered or approved. Any questions, please call. It is highly recommended that contractors view the job before bidding. The contractor is responsible for all line locates and permits required. The contractor will be responsible for the cleanup and removal of all waste and restoring the yard to mowing conditions. The homeowner will select any/all colors used for the job. The contractor is responsible for all measurements and counts of materials needed.
Special Construction
Bathroom, approx.5'x8': Remove the existing door and widen the opening. Install new 36" pre-hung interior doors, trim, and hardware (Kwikset or comparable). Stain or paint to match new or existing finishes. Remove the existing vanity and install a new wall-hung sink, faucet, drain, shut-offs, and supply lines. Remove wall-hung heating stove and cap gas line. Remove and replace all existing drywall on the walls, down to studs in the room; replace all deteriorated wood framing; install wall insulation, new green/purple board ½” drywall, tape, bed, texture, and paint all the walls and ceiling. Remove and replace tub/shower. Repair any leaks. Install new low-entry shower base and surround, with Swan-Stone or comparable, must be a minimum of 1/4” thickness. Replace the shower handle and mixing valve with Delta or a comparable brand. Install 2 ADA grab bars, an adjustable-height handheld shower faucet with its own adjustable guide rod apart from the grab bars. And a portable seat. FRP will not be accepted as a tub/shower surround. Repair/replace all drywall, trim, subflooring, finish flooring, and paint needed due to repairs. Remove existing floor covering, replace all damaged subflooring and floor joists as needed. Install new waterproof floating vinyl plank flooring with a minimum 3/16” thick flooring. Pull toilet and install flooring up to the floor flange. Install all new trim required for proper fit and finish. Participant will choose color. Remove and replace the existing commode. Install Comfort height/ADA commode, wax ring, and supply and shut-offs. Install a heat vent/light, including switches, breaker, and wiring Install lap smart siding over the exterior of the house where a bathroom window had been removed. Caulk, seal, and paint to match existing siding.
Special Equipment
Install a new ADA ramp according to ADA specifications, with a minimum width of 36”. 4”x 4” post set in concrete, 2”x 6” floor joist on 16” centers. 2”x 6” decking, 2”x 6” handrail with spindles on 4” centers. Use only ground-contact treated materials and deck screws. Install an aluminum ADA ramp from the front door to the porch.
Roofing
Locate and repair the leak on the shingled roof over the front bedroom area.
